Causley Sr., Fred W.

AUTHOR BIO: Fred Causley, Sr. describes himself as having been “smarter than God” for 52 years. By that, he says he means that though he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age, he kept God at arm’s length for many years. Then at age 52, he rededicated his life to the Lord and exciting things started happening, including being inspired to write Christian poems. Causley has been a journalist, a working cowboy, a drywall professional and a freelance writer. With his wife, Mary, working to help feed the family, he graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1972 with a degree in agricultural journalism. He later obtained a master’s degree in creative writing from OSU. In 1976, he began a career with the Department of Agricultural Journalism at OSU and served as an award winning science writer and editor until retiring in 2001.
